Covington, Ind. - Mrs. Audra Marie Denton, 69, a life resident of Fountain County and of Covington since 1941, died at 4 a.m. today (July 29, 1966) at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville. She had been in failing health a year and seriously ill two months. Born April 6, 1897, in Fountain county. She was the daughter of William S. (Jesse) and Minta Belle Dice Bodine. She was married Dec. 16, 1916 to Claude A. Denton, who died Sept 1, 1960. Mrs. Denton was a member of the Wabash Chapel Church and Pythian Sisters Lodge of Covington. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Nina M. Gray of Veedersburg Route 2 and Mrs. Dorothy B. Newnum of New Richmond; two brothers, Max Bodine of Covington route 1 and Ned Bodine of Covington; seven grandchildren and five great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Bodine and Shelby Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. The body is at the funeral home. Friends will be received after 4 p.m. Saturday.

Covington - Mrs. Audra Denton, 69, of Covington, died at 4 a.m. Friday at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Danville. She had lived most of her life in the Covington area. She was a member of the Wabash Chapel United Brethren Church south of Covington and the Pythian Sisters in Covington. She was born April 6, 1897, in Covington, the daughter of Jesse and Minta Dice Bodine. In December 1916 she married Claude Denton. He died in 1960. She also was preceded in death by the parents and one sister. Survivors include two brothers, Ned and Max Bodine, both of Covington' two daughters , Mrs. Ora Newnum of New Richmond and Mrs. Ed Gray of Rt.2, Veedersburg; seven grandchildren and five great -grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home in Covington with burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Saturday afternoon and Saturday evening.
